Our Deacons
In Acts 6:1-7 we read of a situation where the apostles had a need to appoint men to serve the physical needs of the congregation. In addition to this example, there are qualifications given in 1 Timothy 3:8-13 for men referred to as deacons. While we all can and should serve, we also see the benefit of having specific men set apart to take care of certain aspects of the church's physical needs.
